After finishing my study abroad and returning to Indonesia, I wanted to seek a volunteering opportunity to resettling in and readapting to how things are here. I was very lucky to have applied to YCM and picked up so much during my time here. The people here are very welcoming, passionate and amazing to collaborate with.
The experience itself is beyond than just teaching English. I had to figure out what worked and what didn’t, and subsequently got to be creative in doing so. So every day has always been different around here. Aside from teaching, I also have the chance to be involved in Bogor Tours. It has been a great and interesting experience to learn about the organization and its culture while also contributing as much as I could to the program.
